52-Week Challenge…”Independence” [Heber Springs, Little Rock portrait photographer]

I chose the most obvious interpretation for this week’s Bloom Challenge, “Independence.” But what could be a better way to express the Fourth of July holiday than showcasing fireworks! My oldest got a kick out of the sparklers and spun and did these karate-like moves while the sticks burned. Typical boy, always moving, even when holding a fiery hazard! But I loved his sweet expression and the sparks in the air. Hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth!

Now head on over to Efi in Greece for her independence interpretation!

(The Bloom Forum 52-Week post is a weekly challenge in which photographers from all over take a photo based on that week’s theme and post it on their blog. Each blog post includes a link to the next photographer’s site. Click through all the blogs to see the different interpretations. The blog circle officially starts on Friday of each week.)

I love the circle-sparks coming from the sparklers! We did the same thing and the kids (and adults) had so much fun playing with the sparklers!

I love the eye contact! You can just see how much fun he’s having.
