10 on 10 – February 2014… Asheville lifestyle photography

It’s time for another study in lifestyle photography through our monthly 10 on 10 group that originated over at The Bloom Forum. It’s a simple concept – ten photos taken throughout one day or event documenting our lives. It’s been said before but I’ll say it again. This project is a great way to capture the little details of everyday life that really tell the story of our family at that moment.

And as most families are, always on the go, I almost forgot to capture images this month. But that’s why I love this project…a little kick in the butt reminder to pull out the camera and capture your own crew. Luckily, I squeezed in time on Saturday to take photos. The weather was great with the sun out and comfortable temps, but as I type, it’s starting to snow…again.

While the photos below provide the viewer an overall peek into our lives, for me it documents how my kids were at that time…their personalities, moods, likes and dislikes…the things you think you’ll never forget but often do if it’s not written down. So I’ll add a little description for each image as we go on our 10 on 10 journey this month. It’s the little things that matter most!

What I really want to remember…. the homemade waffles my boys vetoed after eating half the plate because of the “little brown specks” of flaxseed I tried to sneak in – busted
