Sunny Kids in the Golden Hour

So all photographers know the best, most beautiful time to photograph a family is the often-talked about Golden Hour…that window shortly after sunrise or right before sunset when the sky is softer and the colors more beautiful. It’s also aptly called the Magic Hour. Take that amazing time of day, throw in three perfectly behaved siblings and you just made one photographer (that would be me!) very, very happy.

The session below was photographed before the holiday season but since I’m a little behind on my blogging, I’m sharing it now. I love everything about the session. The clothing was colorful and complemented everyone perfectly. I mean look at that dark blue jean jacket on the younger sister with those beautiful, blue eyes! Swoon! Mom and Dad were so kind. And the kids…oh the sweet, sweet kids. Even though we moved spots a few times, the kids kept smiling, following directions (minding their parents even!) and making my job very, VERY easy. Loved them!

Even the little guy with his two older sisters was easy and fun to photograph. No tears at all! And his biggest sister was so sweet keeping him in the shot.

So I left the session happy, relaxed and wondering why my boys aren’t as well-behaved as these three much younger ones. Oh well. The sky was golden, the kids were amazing and I drove home with a big, satisfied smile! Good job, Mom and Dad!
