Selling on Etsy (Asheville fine art photography)

As a photographer, I try to always have my camera with me or near me. (Sorry family or “always annoyed photo subjects.”) But you never know when that perfect shot will pop up. When it does and your camera is nowhere to be found, oh the agony of knowing or assuming you just missed the award-winning, life-changing photo. You probably didn’t, but only a photographer will truly understand that sinking, depressed feeling of “the one that got away.”

But always having a camera around means I’ve taken hundreds, THOUSANDS of photos which means I also have hundreds, THOUSANDS of images just sitting on my computer. Beautiful sunset? Sure, let’s take a photo! Perfect misty morning? Another shot. Every time I clicked the shutter, I had every intention of printing the photo, displaying it in my house or giving it as a gift. But then Photographer Attention Deficit Disorder kicked in, another perfect scene popped up, and my focus quickly moved to the next click. It’s like the old, “Squirrel!” routine with Dug the Talking Dog from the movie, “Up.” Stick a photographer with a camera in a halfway interesting environment and our attention jumps from one scene to another as we ignore everybody else around us. AND we quickly fill a memory card with images we know will never see beyond our computer.

So what’s a girl to do??? Why, sell on Etsy, of course!

I have no idea if this will work, if I’ll make a dime, or if anyone will even view the work. But it’s worth a shot, right?!

I’ve added about 50 or so images to start and will continue to add more each week. I have them listed as prints or canvases but will happily sell them in another format if requested. I’ve attached a few of the ones in my shop below. But to see all the images, click here. And feel free to “like” any favorites, hint! hint!

Happy Shopping!
